Anyone going to Phoenix Comicon?

The convention was cool. I went only on Sunday (the last day), but the place was packed. In addition to comic books and related art, there was a ton of Star Wars stuff, from costumes to blaster movie props and a full-sized radio-controlled R2D2 complete with realistic sounds. Many people had all types of costumes on and a lot of them were really good. My pictures are here.

There were a lot of artists there who were sitting at their booths doing sketches. I bet Jason would've liked to see that. I had my picture taken with Levar Burton (from Star Trek:TNG, of course). It was one of those professional portrait things, and I am still waiting on the .jpg.

I went with my brother and met some other friends there and had a good time. There were a ton of very specialized seminars and Q&A sessions on comics, TV shows, science fiction and plenty of other stuff. If you want to consider next year, keep an eye out for the topics and guests because there will surely be something you are interested in. There was some decent food on hand also.
